# Connect & automate

Connectors, channels, computers, and triggers reach outside a project.

A project reaches outside itself four ways. A connector calls an external
tool. A channel lets people reach the agent from chat, text, email, a phone
call, or a live voice call. A computer connects the agent to your own
machine. A trigger starts a session with no person present.
