# The bot's computer on a phone

Open a bot's computer from your phone to browse and download files, check its status, and wake, stop or restart it.

Every thread runs on its own computer in the cloud. On a phone you can look
inside it, the same as on desktop.

## Open it

In a chat, tap **…** at the top right and choose **Bot's computer**. It opens
full screen.

Tap **✕** to close it, or the **gear** to open the bot's settings.

## The tabs

| Tab | Use it to |
|---|---|
| **Computer** | See its status, browse and download files. |
| **Routines** | This bot's scheduled jobs. |
| **Browser** | Preview a website the bot is running. |
| **Terminal** | Type commands on the computer yourself. |

The **Live** view isn't on phones; it needs a bigger screen. Use Machine
Desktop or an iPad to [watch the bot work](/docs/desktop/live/live-view).

## Status and power

At the top: **Scout's computer**, its status, and how many folders and files
it has.

| Status | Means |
|---|---|
| **Running** | Awake. |
| **Waking up** | Starting. |
| **Asleep** | Stopped to save money. Files are kept. |
| **Connecting** | Machine is reaching it. |

**Restart**, **Stop** and **Wake** do what they say. The circular arrow
refreshes the file list.

## Files

- Tap a **folder** to open it. The `uploads` folder has the files you
  attached.
- Tap a **file** to view it: documents, images, PDFs and more.
- In a file, **Copy contents** copies its text and **Download** saves it to
  your phone.
