# Settings on your phone

Machine Mobile's Settings tab. Profile, language, sounds, quiet hours, notifications, updates, appearance, usage, people, and signing out.

Tap **Settings** on the tab bar. Tap a section to open it, and **‹** to go
back to the list.

| Section | What's in it |
|---|---|
| **General** | Profile, language, analytics, reply sound, notifications, tours, quiet hours, simple mode, updates, diagnostics, and your account. |
| **Appearance** | **Skin** (colour theme), **Mascots**, whether to show **Threads**, and a **Tool calls** switch that shows or hides each tool a bot runs. |
| **Experimental** | Features that are still being tested. |
| **Usage** | What your bots have cost. See [Usage and billing](/docs/desktop/settings/usage-and-billing). |
| **People** | Your team's members and invites. |

## General

| Setting | Does |
|---|---|
| **Profile** | Your name and email, shown in the app. Each one saves when you tap out of the field. |
| **Language** | The app's language. **System** follows your phone. |
| **Usage analytics** | Anonymous product events. Never conversations, prompts, file contents or bot output. |
| **Reply sound** | A soft pop when a bot finishes a reply. **Play** to hear it. |
| **Notifications** | On Android: hear when a bot finishes, even with the app closed. See [Notifications](/docs/desktop/mobile/share-notifications-offline#notifications). |
| **Welcome tour** | Replay the app tour or the welcome tour. |
| **Quiet hours** | Bots keep working, but no pop-ups during these hours. |
| **Simple mode** | Hides tool steps, the model picker and the builder pages. Your bots work exactly the same. |
| **Updates** | Check for a new version. See [Updates](#updates). |
| **Diagnostics** | For Machine Desktop. The **Export Diagnostics…** button does nothing on a phone. If support asks for diagnostics, export them from Machine Desktop. |

## Updates

| Phone | Updates |
|---|---|
| **Android** | Through Google Play. **Check for updates** looks now; **Update** installs one in the app; **Open Google Play** opens the listing. When a new version is ready, a banner may say *"Machine 0.1.46 is ready"* with **Update**. New versions can take a day or two to reach every phone. |
| **iPhone and iPad** | Through **TestFlight**. The iPhone and iPad app is a beta today (see [Get the app](/docs/desktop/mobile#get-the-app)), so the row says *"This is a TestFlight build. New versions arrive in the TestFlight app."* **Open TestFlight** opens it, and **Check for updates** checks again. |

On iPhone and iPad, the row asks the App Store first. If Machine is listed
there in the future, the row shows the App Store version instead, like
*"0.1.46 is on the App Store."*, with **Open App Store**.

## Account

At the bottom of **General**:

- **Sign out**: *"Leaves this account on this device. Your bots and threads
  stay on Machine."* Also stops notifications on this phone.
- **Delete account**: removes every bot, thread, credential and subscription
  tied to your account. It can't be undone. Tap **Continue on the web** to do
  it on the Machine web app.

**Sign out** appears here on a phone. On an iPad, or any screen wide enough
to show the sidebar, tap your name at the bottom of the sidebar and choose
**Sign out** instead.

## Not on phones

A few desktop settings don't apply on a phone and are hidden: microphone and
dictation, This PC and computer settings, and desktop workspaces.

## Bot settings

Settings for one bot (its name, Soul, skills, channels, model and more) are in
the bot's profile: long-press the bot and choose **Edit Profile**, or tap the
bot's name above its threads. See [Bot settings](/docs/desktop/bots/bot-settings).
