# Pixio

Let a bot make images, video, music, voice and 3D with your own Pixio account. What Pixio is, what bots can make, and where to start.

**Pixio** is a creative studio with hundreds of AI models for images, video,
audio and 3D. Connect your Pixio account to a bot and you can just ask:

- *"A square Instagram image for our grand opening, warm and round, with
  'Saturday 7am' on it."*
- *"Turn this product photo into a six-second clip of it spinning."*
- *"A 30-second upbeat jingle for the bakery's video."*
- *"Read this script as a friendly voiceover."*

The bot picks a model, checks the price, makes it, and saves the result on its
computer for you to download.

## Made by Machine

Pixio is **Made by Machine**: Machine built and runs the connection, and it
uses **your own Pixio account and credits**. It's available to every bot.
Nothing happens until you connect a key.

## What a bot can do with Pixio

| Kind | Examples |

| **Images** | Posters, product shots, logos, social posts, edits to your own photos, vector art (SVG). |
| **Video** | Text to video, image to video, extending or editing a clip, lip-sync, talking avatars. |
| **Audio** | Music, voiceovers, sound effects. |
| **3D** | 3D models from text or an image, retexturing, rigging and animation. |
| **Your Pixio library** | Find, rename, organise and download your Pixio assets and folders. |
| **Workflows** | Run the saved workflows in your Pixio account. |
| **Projects** | Plan boards, canvases, storyboards and Video Agent projects from a brief. |
| **Characters** | Save and reuse locked characters so a person or mascot looks the same every time. |

## How it fits together

1. **You connect a Pixio API key** to a bot in Machine Desktop. See
   [Connect Pixio](/docs/desktop/pixio/connect).
2. **You ask the bot** for what you want, in any thread.
3. **The bot uses Pixio** through Machine. The key stays on Machine's servers;
   the bot never sees it.
4. **It saves the result** on its computer and tells you what it cost.

## What it costs

Generations use **your Pixio credits**, at your plan's prices, including any
free daily uses your plan has. The bot's own work (thinking, saving files)
