Share, notifications and offline
Share links and text from other apps to a bot, get notified when a bot finishes, and what happens when your phone loses its connection.
Share to Machine (Android)
Send a link, some text or a picture from any app to a bot.
Tap Share in any app
In your browser, email, notes or photos, tap Share.
Choose Machine
Pick Machine from the share sheet.
Pick a bot
Machine opens Share to a project with what you're sharing at the top. Tap the bot that should get it.

Add your request and send
What you shared lands in the bot's message box as a draft. Nothing is sent yet. Add what you want, such as "Summarize this and tell me if it's worth reading", and tap send.
Shared pictures arrive as references in the message box, not as attachments. To give a bot a picture to work on, attach it with the paperclip in the chat instead.
iPhone and iPad don't have Share to Machine yet.
Notifications
On Android, Machine can tell you when a bot finishes, even with the app closed.
- The notification is titled with the bot's name and says "Finished — tap to see the reply." or "Hit an error and stopped. Tap to see what happened."
- Tap it to open that thread.
Turn notifications on
The app asks the first time it needs to. To check or change it later, open Settings → General → Notifications:
| It says | Means |
|---|---|
| "On — this phone hears when a bot finishes a turn." | You're set. |
| "Off…" with Turn on | Tap Turn on, then Allow. |
| "Blocked for Machine in your phone's settings." | Open Android Settings → Apps → Machine → Notifications and allow them. |
| "This deployment has no notification service configured." | Notifications aren't available for your Machine account yet. |
In Android's notification settings, Machine's notifications are called Turn results ("When a bot finishes a turn"), so you can change their sound or turn them off there.
To pause pop-ups without turning them off, use Quiet hours in Settings → General.
Notifications aren't available on iPhone and iPad yet.
Offline
If your phone loses its connection, a strip at the top says "No connection — messages will send when you are back".

- You can keep reading threads you've already opened.
- Messages you send wait, and go when you're back online.
- Your bots keep working in the cloud the whole time. Their replies appear when you reconnect.
Pull down on a list to refresh once you're back.
